MatchaStore represents the first reality in Europe for the direct distribution of CEREMONIAL MATCHA green tea in the GOKOU –SAMIDORI & OKUMIDORI varieties.
Matcha of Kyoto – Uji means tradition, as well as the place of origin of Japan’s most prestigious green tea.
The distribution of matcha green tea in Japan goes back to the 12th century and first occurred under the monk Eisai Myōan (1141-1215) and then by the monk Eison (1201 – 1290), through the promotion of the habit of drinking matcha green tea amongst the population for its recognized virtues, benefits and healthy properties for the body.
The only matcha of recognized quality and unique UMAMI taste characterized by its intense and brilliant green colour that is enhanced with the CHAWAN bowl comes only from the city of Uji.
MatchaStore, also offers only matcha from the first harvest so as the produce a green tea that is particularly smooth and very fine to the touch.
The place of cultivation of matcha green tea is very important so as to distinguish authentic products of the highest quality compared to other types of match green tea that, on the other hand, originate from outside the Kyoto (Uji) Prefecture and of much cheaper production, if not produced outside Japan.
In fact, many types of matcha are offered for sale as coming from the Kyoto (Uji) Prefecture when they are really grown and harvested somewhere else.

The recommendations of the experts and the related indications for understanding if we are in the presence of a product of CEREMONIAL MATCH green tea of quality are as follows:
- The matcha must always come from plantations in Japan and especially from the territory of Uji for its characteristic climate and unique morphology;
- The matcha must have an hermetically sealed package of high quality and specifically in jars or bags (better if a combination of both);
- The (JAS / HOAS) sticker must always appear on the packaging to certify the organic certification and such as to clearly indicate that the product was grown naturally and organically.
A dutiful as well as unavoidable thank you for the time that has been granted to us and the recommendations that were supplied, right from the very beginning, on this project called matchastore

For us at MATCHASTORE, matcha green tea means healthy, as well as SIRT and DETOX – SUPERFOOD.
In fact, matcha green tea is a drink as well as a unique product of its kind that is formidable and fundamental for the wellbeing of the body and health.
This is because it is very rich in catechins (ECCG – apigallocatechin gallate – equal to 30 – 40 % of its content) as well as plenty of other nutrients so that it represents Nature’s most powerful antioxidant.
Matcha has many benefits for the human body and is useful for burning calories, making the skin shinier, increasing energy and concentration, lowering cholesterol and preventing sickness, as well as improving moods.
All MATCHASTORE’s matcha products are grown and harvested only and exclusively in the Prefecture of Kyoto – Uji and in full respect of natural and organic methods.
Our products were all rigorously grown by organic farming and without the use of any type of pesticide.
The experts of sirt – natural and organic, all agree in recommending MATCHA BIO as the richest in healthy catechins compared to other types of matcha not grown according to organic methods.
THE CEREMONIAL MATCHA present in this site are all MATCHA UJI – BIO and have the appropriate biological certification JAS – HOAS 01B – 015(Japan Agricultural Standard) / NOP USDA (National Organic Program) / EU Organic Certification.
